☆ Welcome to Rauh-Welt Begriff – My first visit – Part 2 ☆

I quietly left the party for 30 minutes to photograph one of the most amazing parking lots I’ve ever seen. Full of Porsches that are gems of one mans fine hard work. The only thing to trump these internet sensations would be a meet of RWB Porsches, which I hope to see eventually one of these days.

And so Spearmint Rhino and its partner were photographed. Having a convertible in Japan is, in my opinion, quite rare; and to accompany that with the RWB status just makes Spearmint Rhino so badass. I really like the look that car. Not to say that its red and yellow counterpart isn’t at all attractive because it is and also a killer race car.

Gary getting the finishing touches done on Rough Unity.

Not much to say. It’s just pretty dam awesome. The wings on all these Porsche’s are pretty amazing.

Meanwhile Nakai-san was working on the suspension adjustment plate that had been pretty banged up. They found out later the car he was working on had probably been in a lot of small accidents due to its wacky alignment. They concluded that the frame was slightly bent causing it to be a hassle to rework the suspension plate. Lowering the car to check its placement and raising it back up to shave some more metal off or vice versa.

Up close and personal.

Preparing for the famous wide body treatment.

After Gary had finished we played around with the jacks and some wood blocks to get it back on all 4 wheels.

Nakai-san called time and everyone broke for a short rest and food.

While we were busy taking pictures and fixing up the last parts of the two cars. Shinji and Tomo had gone out to get a late night snack.

Saviors! All the hungry animals all needed a bite to eat!

Shinji-san and I were having a good ole’ conversation about the controversy surrounding the new iPhone also some panorama apps. He picked up my camera and snapped this shot of me while I was playing with the LED light I was using to help out Gary. Trying to get the same effect you see throughout the new Star Trek movie. I think I somewhat accomplished it. I was probably the happiest kid on the block, full stomach and a great night at Rauh-Welt! Thanks again for the photo, as a man behind the lens it isn’t often that someone snaps a photo of you.

What else do you use 14 inch wide wheels with insane dish for aside from wheels when they aren’t mounted. Yes a food cubby!

Gary took a break after eating…

While Nakai-san got back to grinding to finish what he had started before leaving for the night.

Gary and Nakai-san finished the last hard part together.

Ogawa-san, the interior stripping master and I left a small well thought out message of our feeling toward the night on this Porsche frame that was going to be scrapped the next week.

On departure I snapped two remaining pictures of Rough Unity and RW-Republic.

Thanks to all who made this trip to Rauh-Welt Belgriff possible. I truly am thankful and look forward to seeing you guys again!

Special thanks to:

and Nakai-san for allowing me to come visit RWB Japan.

Hope you enjoyed reading and I hope to bring more content next week after HellaFlush Fuji.

I’ve been on hiatus for a while. It’s hard to do all I do with school as a serious commitment.

Taking pictures is one thing, but post process is another.

They are their own respective jobs and I’m sorry for neglecting the people such as yourself that appreciate what I do.

I hope to update in the near future.

      Until then,
