Feb. 1st K6 Running ☆2月1日K6ランニング☆フィルム

It was the day before Narita Dog Fight had to leave and yet we still had his nights filled to the brim with car excitement.  The recent debut of K6 rolling shots Facebook page has made these events a quite popular.  There were so many cars that driving from Umihotaru PA to the exit onto the Wangan at 50kmph was barely enough time to get in every car for a few photos.  The guy who runs these events was recently forced into buying a new car and for the sake of continuing these long nights in the cold with all his buddies he chose from a selection of cars that had a rear window which could be opened while driving so he could shoot photos.  I think that’s pretty cool!img382 Continue reading

☆成田ドッグファイトと一つの週末☆One weekend with Nartia Dog Fight☆

マジかよ!今週末は52週の中で最高だと思う。成田ドッグファイトに届いた週末のイベントへ本当にいっぱい行ってきた!いずれにしても、彼が今回来た理由は、自分自身で特別なイベントを作ってきた事だ。そのイベントはNRT(成田ドッグファイト)冬カフェーと言う。 IMG_5400 Continue reading

☆A friend’s Gx71 Mark ii Wagon★

Clean, simple, and almost stock.  “Almost…”

You don’t mind how under powered this car is when you ride in it.  It sounds good, handles well and is a wagon to boot.  It’s versatility and classic timeless boxy shape make this car a great daily driver.

I really wanted to just show these two pictures and let them do the talking.

◎The Journey to HellaFlush Fuji – Part 1◎

HellaFlush Fuji weekend was pretty crazy. At least I was okay after the fact. But none the less, the trip to Fuji was a big and I had seen tons of content from the previous year’s event.

A couple nights before HellaFlush Gary text me letting me know his eye had gotten really irritating and was headed to the hospital to get it checked out. He said it was plausible that going to Fuji for him would be canceled. My heart kind of sank at that moment but I soon realized that there wasn’t much I could do this late in the game. It wasn’t as though I had to go. My thirst to explore and meet new people, see new things and have a grand old time, as anyone wishes for was probably the biggest reason that I even considered going.

On Friday night I came home and cooked a simple meal, wasted my life for a little while trolling through Facebook and then wandered into the living room to chat with my house mates. When I finally managed to get to bed, well, because I was so excited sleeping didn’t really happen. I seriously lay in bed just tossing and turning after finishing up preparations of my bag thinking to myself, “Porsche, Porsche, Porsche…”, which wasn’t helping my already terrible sleep schedule.

My autumn break was just getting better every week, and it was about to get better every hour.

It got to the point where I couldn’t sleep at all was wide awake in bed, at that point I just decided to go play some video games for a good hour, I mean who doesn’t love some strategic pwnage at 4 in the morning against a bunch of angry Americans right before you roar off in a Porsche to one of Japan’s biggest car meets.

I got a text from Gary around 5:30 and he let me know he was on his way. I grabbed everything I needed, a few extras and ran out the door.

※A Roll of Film to Recap an Awes☆me Weekend – RWB and AE86 Matsuri※

Something about putting watermarks on film pictures doesn’t sit so well with me.  For the time being I’m not going to be watermarking this post. So if you decid to share, please credit me appropriately, thanks in advance as always.  ~Matt

Post’s individual link

Everyone must know the story already, but it not a bad thing to review with repetition, and none the less with awesome film pictures!  When displaying film I really like the aspect of a “roll” of film and thus like to display almost all the images from my rolls of film if possible.  And with that, lets get started!

I’m not quite sure why it takes Bic Camera so dam long to develop my film, aside from a special 630 Million pixel CD for scans, it was nothing out of the ordinary.  Well, here we are a week and a half later with some okay scans of an awesome weekend.

☆Up the hill to Sagamiko AE86 Festival – Part 1☆

Continuing on with the story from last week.  Gary dropped me off at Osaki Station and I lagged up the stairs while surfing through aimless apps on my iPhone.  I called up my buddy to see if he was going out and sure enough, he was already in Roppongi.  After basically missing the train to my house, on purpose I decided to head on over to meet up with him.  I caught one of the last trains which happened to terminate one stop before Roppongi so I walked from there all the way to him picking up a cold alcoholic beverage along the way.  The summer heat has faded in Tokyo and I had an enjoyable walk to the crossing where we met up.  In Roppongi we didn’t feel like going into any clubs really so we just idled outside talking to random girls and people watching.  A couple of my other friends were in Roppongi as well and came by to say hi.

Clear skies and sunny days!

Recently a typhoon passed over Tokyo.  It hit Tokyo around evening and passed throughout the night.  The next morning I scaled a building to take some pictures of the super clear skies.  These were shot just a little south of Shinagawa Station.

Looking outwards into the heart of Japan you can see the mountains.  It’s quite a bummer I couldn’t find a building that had a view of Fuji which is blocked by another building just to the left which is actually out of frame.  That is my newest on going project when I’m not out hunting for cars and people’s epic sleeping positions throughout Tokyo.

Land of the rising sun.  The sunsets and sunrises in Japan are quite often spectacular. It’s a shame everyone is to busy to stop and just watch it once in a while. Beautiful sunrises are starts to a good days.

Odaiba – ☆SE Corolla and Hakosuka☆

Manabu-san, a friend of Park’s was down at the meet.  This was the SE Corolla he frequently drifts.   It’s  pretty well known. Dam it was  loud!

Overspray – Graffiti’d Out ☆R33☆ Skyline

I had plans to head out to Fuji for a drift event this Sunday but because of the rain a joint decision was made to save money and just spend the day safely in town.  So instead of going to Fuji, I called Park and asked him if he wanted to go to the MoonEyes meet.  Even though the weather was not its best we took our chances and headed out.  The rain proved to be a bit of  a nuisance but we managed to see a few cool cars.

This Skyline was pretty unique!
